This policy explains what happens when you use the browser-based sound tools and visit the site.

Microphone audio

SoundLevelTest processes microphone audio in your browser using the Web Audio API. The audio is processed in memory on your device and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted to a remote server.

Selecting Stop, leaving the page, or closing it releases the microphone. Reloading the page does not preserve audio or measurements. Microphone access is controlled by your browser, and you can revoke permission in its site settings.

Local setting

If you change the calibration offset, that numeric setting is stored in your browser so it can be reused. It is not an audio recording. Clearing this site's browser storage removes the saved offset.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to understand page visits and general site use. Microphone audio, sound samples, and meter readings are not sent to analytics. Analytics may process information such as page visits, browser type, approximate location derived from network information, and device category according to Google's service settings and policies.
